From The Start...............Metalhead

It took a while for me to get into the whole album. Songs like 'Metalhead', 'Travellers In Time', 'Conquistador', and 'Sea Of Life' I liked straight away. But the other songs took a while to get into, but now I like the whole album. It is quite a dark album for Saxon, and was something a bit different from we have had before. But that's never a bad thing I don't think.

'Sea Of Life' is one of my favourite all time Saxon songs, and I'd love to hear it played live. So Nigel, if you are reading this, how about putting in a good word with Biff for me, and maybe bring the song into the setlist for the new tour?!!

Metalhead is pretty nice album. Sea of Life and Metalhead are my favourites. Second wave of British Heavy Metal alongside with Priest's new stuff, hah! Maiden was like: :OMG: when they heard new Saxon and Priest that they decided to follow them by making their new album very heavy

But anyway, I liked this album, very good.

SEA OF LIFE

Need i say more, one of my favourite songs ever !!!

And.....The album is flawless (imo)

I think whenever saxon need filler they write some really boring songs about all the cunts in the world or how life is hard.

Some examples:
ministry fools, piss off, coming home, you dont know what youve got

Unless you havent noticed, lionheart hasnt got any of these songs, which is why every song is killer on the album

Well I don't think any band deliberately writes filler songs! It's just some songs arn't as good as others! But yeah, 'Piss Off' is probably my least favourite song on 'Metalhead', but even that song did grow on me after a while (like Valanx, after a few years!).

The lyrics in Ministry of Fools are damn good IMO. Well, nothing special though, but I like those lyrics.

I like the Metalhead song, but the album as a whole is not my favorite album from all the releases...(but what the hack) I was very pleased with the Travellers in Time track on THL 3 -album.. conquistador good song..prisoner (something new, never made before such a song by Saxon, but it grasps me somewhere...so fantastic, what is meant by the text?, a puzzle)and all guns blazing fantastic.... Sea of Life is ok ( it has got more in it than Court of the Crimson King..) the rest is not in my brains it just does not attach ..
