To be honest, I didn't really like the St. Anger vocals all that much...good drumming, but the singing could be a hell of a lot better. The riffs were pretty inaudible, but sounded decent. James did a much better job singing on Frantic.

For the record, all the Metallica fans I know my age have at least the first four albums, and generally know as many lyrics as they do for any other band (depending on how much they've smoked).

Like it or not guys, the 80's is over, and nu-metal is still metal. That's why it's called NEW METAL. There's lots of bands going in similar veins to the 80's, but Metallica isn't gonna be one of them.

Music is all about progress... nu-metal, shitty as it is, has contributed to metal the world over, INCLUDING TESTAMENT. I don't mean rap, I don't mean gay sing-along choruses, or any of the bullshit you see on MTV; I mean bone-crunching heaviness... like Pantera started to do, focussing more and more on brutal riffs. Lots of bands are taking that road: less guitar solos and heavier riffs. I'm possibly going to be flamed for this, so I'll say in advance: TESTAMENT IS NOT NU-METAL. :Spin:
