WOW!! You're cool!! I wish I could be as metal as you.... except I was listening to Metallica before you were born. And seeing them while you were still shitting yourself. Maybe you should go to the Metallicrap board and rant over there little girl, because in case you haven't noticed, its says in really BIG LETTERS at the top of the board T-E-S-T-A-M-E-N-T. You're typical red neck white trash from SC. Beller long and loud because you don't know jack, thinking that he who yells loudest will somehow win the argument..... well let's get one thing straight trash, I was more metal than you will ever be when you were born (what really was your first Metallica record? Reload?), and every time I take a dump its more metal than you are (although the resemblance between the 2 of you is prolly striking....). Go back to re-enacting scenes from Deliverance, it suits you better.
 
I think if you have to go out of your way to talk about how much MORE Metal you are than the guy next to you, your about the farthest thing from Metal I can think of.

In regards to Metallica, they've let me down a lot in the past. Seeing them on the And Justice For All tour and then seeing them with slipknot in 2000 made me believe that they lost all the energy and intensity they ever had. I think they've somehow gotten a lot of it back. Yeah James is using barritone(spelling?) guitars that are downtuned and yes he sounds like a Metallized Garth Brooks, but come on. How can you not scream along to Damage Incorporated? I think the fact that they are embracing the old days, the old records, Cliff and just Metal in general is great. For a while there, I think they forgot that they are who they are because of playing Metal. Anyway, I hope as much as the next guy that St. Anger is a return to Metal. Just dont turn it on and expect to hear Dyers Eve.

The hell? Why the fuck should I care "if you are more metal than me". I don't give a shit and I honestly hope you don't either. And I am at the Testament board because they are one of my favorite bands. Metallica happens to be one of my favorite bands also. Remember, I don't make the fucking Metallica threads, I just try to show some support for the band when everyone else is driving them into the ground. Your arguements are weaker than Lars Ulrich on drums. Seriously, were you just trying to be fucking retarded with the redneck thing because you actually had nothing worthwhile to say? but it seems to me, these little clips that keep being released...Metallica could blow Dyer's Eve away, especially Lars and the double bass...just something to think about...listen to that St. Anger clip very closely
 
Blow away Dyers Eve? Yes I like that St. Anger clip a great deal. Awesome double bass. But it lasted maybe 5 seconds? Dyers Eve has double bass for like 30+ seconds at a time my friend. Not that more equals better. It doesn't. But that kinda speed, precision, etc. I dont know if they still have that in them. I sure hope so though. No solos like Dyers Eve though.

Ever heard Vehemence's God Was Created? It's like Cannibal Corpse song topics set to a really disturbing story and intertwined with thoughts on the nature of God, with really brilliant songwriting...brutal Amon Amarth-esque death intertwined with haunting melodic instrumental passages. A bit like Opeth, but not boring. Look up the lyrics to that album, they're fucking creepy.
 
Yea, when you got bands like Cannibal Corpse naming songs like "Addicted to Vaginal Flesh" and "SpineSplitter" who needs bands naming songs like "Mama Said" or "Ain't my Bitch"?
 
Lars has never done fast double bass and I seriously doubt he ever will. You want fast double bass, listen to Dying Fetus, Cryptopsy, or one of those other hardcore death metal bands... or hardcore jazz bands like Tribal Tech...
 
Dying Fetus is faster than Metallica...so what? There's probably someone faster than Dying Fetus, and that doesn't change the fact that Dying Fetus is fast. Ergo, Lars plays pretty damn fast whether Dying Fetus is faster or not. Plus, Metallica is FAR better overall than Dying Fetus (but as implied, that doesn't mean that Dying Fetus isn't good. Cause they kick ass).
 
Well, I HATE Dying Fetus... but for death metal, they are on the ball, I must admit! Their drummer... is really insanely fast, and thinks up a lot of really cool shit.

Lars is a whore for money, plain and simple. Lars probably can't go faster than like 180 bpm (not what I'd call fast but whatever)... the guys from Dying Fetus and Cryptopsy can go over 300 bpm. o_O

Anyways, like you said, it doesn't matter... I like Metallica more than Dying Fetus but DF still have -way- more potential.
