FUCK

i honestly believe that 80% of borrowers never see the numbers in an amortization schedule ... i bet most would have never borrowed if shown

http://www.bretwhissel.net/cgi-bin/amortize
plug in your #'s and tick "Show Amortization Schedule"

on just a $300K loan you pay over $347K additional in interest

In China, savings is instilled in to your mindset at a very young age. 40-50% of all income gets put under the mattress for those fiscally frightening times when you are asked to turn in your straw hat and are sent home from the rice fields.

in communist china, money saves YOU

god i hope i did this right

and this is the very reason China is getting triple bombed by the recession fears ... since people are already programmed to save and panic in these situations ... now they are REALLY not spending

Although I'm not retiring for another...well, never...I've changed all my 401(k) investments to the most stable offering possible. I don't know if this is a mistake or not. I would imagine it's times like these where you can buy a bunch of shit when it costs nothing and you end up becoming rich because there's nowhere to go but up....BUT...I just can't take anymore negative numbers. I'm losing like $1000 a month in the one that's still at my old job and at my current company, I lose 100% of the employer-match every single week.

There are good thing in a bad economy, like buying 5 different properties for the usual price of one in some cases. ... if I had $1Mil I could have a nice place to live in all corners of the USA. ENJOY :)

let them fail. through struggle and adversity comes new ideas and opportunities. we need to start over, and let traditions fall

me and the wife were talking today and decided we want the gov't to pay for our mortgage as well. we've been fiscally responsible, always paying bills on time, yet we get no handout or help. how is this fair? the wife was right. she said that we should have bought some obnoxiously huge home that we couldnt afford, because then the gov't would have simply bailed us out and we'd stay there for a ridiculously low interest rate.

Read the articles. Wow. Those sums of money are just astounding. And AIG *still* cant pull their shit together. If the government paid off all my shitz, you can believe I'd be single-handedly propping up the economy with the free cash I'd have to blow on more shitz.

This is basically what I keep thinking. Bulldoze the house and start over, we'll survive living in a tent for a few years.

Sadly the rich pricks who own the house would rather screw us all than lose their shit.

i just love how to word "billions" has replaced "millions" so easily in the last few months even without causing people to slap their foreheads.

it really makes me want to give up living in a normal society and join the secret handshake & wink one.
