Fucking awesome cover songs

only the first song is a cover lol

And yeah the only song to ever make me cry was God Bless Our Dead Marines (the song is ironically titled by canadian musicians so calm down). Post-rock is the most depressing genre in the world lol

Am I the only one who like Metallica's cover of Am I Evil? At least it's much better than the crappy original.

I dont know that i'll ever understand how music can make someone cry. (shrug)

It's more because the video shows you his wife and he's singing it about her, so it's more emotional than the NIN original because JC's wife just passed away and aaaaaw it just makes me greet, honest to god.

@Zelaxe, go fuck yourself.

I like the original more. Metallica's feels too "metallic" in the bad way.
James just can't follow that vocal line while playing rhythm lol

and it feels like they are using a weird tuning.

The Am I Evil original sounds to "light" with no power to it, the riffs have no depth and so on, I'm not saying that the Metallica version is "teh best song of ALL time!" but if I were to read the lyrics and read the notes that is probably more how I would have envisioned it. But that's just my $0.02.

I'd agree with you on that.

the vocals have much more soul in the original and the NWOBHM feel just can't be beat. You just have to turn it up!!!

I always hated it when someone says a cover is better than the original, which to me is impossible seeing as how the band who did the covering did not write the song, put creative effort into it, etc., etc.

The only cover song I like is Turn the Page by Metallica.
