Fucking TASCAM

I'm just gonna bitch about it. I got the stupid US-1800 (used, I know, I'm an idiot) and thought "Hey, it'll be perfect for bedroom shit and easily moved!". Unpacked the shit and tried to install the driver and what the fuck if it doesn't want to install. And why the hell does the USB light on the panel say it's on when it's unplugged? And why the fuck isn't it recognized straight away when I plug it in?

Where is my goddamn baseball bat, I'm about to CRUSH this piece of shit.

I bought a US-800 last week, for recording live shows, and I hooked it up and installed it a few days ago without any issues. Recorded a 45 minute set without breaks and it worked amazingly well.

What OS are you running?

Windows 7.

I bought it for it's reviews, the unit sounded solid. It get's here, it's not solid.

+1 on defective. I have 2 friends both with 1800's and they installed easy and have been rock solid for years.
