Fucking Texas

Whoever told you this was a free country? You are granted certain priveliges by the government, same as any other country. When those priveleges are revoked, or turn out to be different than you thought, complaining about it is generally less effective than making use of the political process in an effort to "fix" those priveliges.

You're right.
I just like to throw in the "free country" theme
because our beloved president who is from Texas likes to use it so frequantly.
:p

On another note... I have never ever in my life lived in a place that
"alcohol" was such a big deal..
I guess I need to get used to it. slowly.

don't worry, he'd have left Texas 5 minutes before you showed up to meet him there

I could see myself doing something like that...

take a plane from CT to Texas, get there, check into a hotel.

Five minutes later " dude, this state is lame, I'm outta hereeeee "

This is a culture that places high value on personal freedom, but low value on personal responsibility. We are always looking for something to blame for our actions. Alcohol is just the villain of the week.

Nicely articulated.

I haven't heard anything about it. I don't care, as I don't drink at all and hate being around drunks.

But it's kinda like saying that they will be busting into porn shops and arresting anyone with an erection. What do you EXPECT? Stupid cops.

"Sir, you are under arrest for the possession of an erect member."

That's because there is no problem that America can't solve through violence!

Having to pay their taxes to England, getting rid of those pesky indians from their native land, taking Texas and California from the Mexicans, securing for themselves a new source of oil while under the pretenses of saving poor oppressed Iraqis from their Dr. Evil...

THE LIST IS ENDLESS I TELL YOU
