i don't understand why these venues after months and months of not saying anything think it's okay to let us know a WEEK before the show that they can't do the show anymore. GRRRR!

This just happened for Detroit and I think, Syracuse. :(

Can anyone think of any good alternatives, either city or venue wise? I was thinking maybe we could get at least a house show for Detroit or maybe play Pittsburgh instead? For Syracuse, maybe we could do Albany instead.

i know there are a lot of you guys in michigan that were looking forward to this show - we only have a couple more days to figure this out and I really want to be able to play up there for you all. We really need some help on this - if anyone can offer their venue, house, etc let us know ASAP!

if that's no good i'll try to find some other places. unfortunately my house won't work as awesome as that would be since i live in a condo complex with lots of strict rules about bands performing loud concerts therein.

I understand Michigan American Legion Halls should be available as well as Knights of Columbus if you can get in contact with one of them. I just posted some bulletins around various lj/myspace groups.

wow, thanks so much for helping us out! I think it would be really difficult for me to set up a show at the american legion hall or knights of columbus without going through another person. do you know anyone in the area who books shows at those places that i could get in contact with?

are you kidding me? I'll call up my guitar instructor tomorrow and see if he can gimme the names of any places in Detroit that might be available to book on such short notice. is there anything I should know about venue size or pricing or whatever when asking for locations?

you could try St. Andrews Hall (ground floor level, I saw The Dillinger Escape Plan there last year) or The Shelter (bands that may not pull in such a large crowd are usually booked here, it's in the basement of St. Andrews Hall) if you haven't tried them yet. I can't find anything listed for October 8th at St. Andrews so you might luck out.

Kasabian or whatever which is listed for the 8th is cancelled according to Ticketmaster.

There's nothing listed for the 8th for The Shelter.

we could try also a show in chicago proper instead of detroit too. i could ask my friend evan about that.
as far as syracuse i have NO idea. i wouldnt mind just chillin in vermont an extra day.
its gonna be real hard to get a show anywhere on close notice :(
my only REAL suggestion is that we try to find a place to stay as opposed to getting a motel because we didnt play that day. that's it.
