Skepticism - Alloy
The Mournful Congregation - The June Frost
Esoteric - (whole discography)

That's all I got, any recs? The Maniacal Vale is my favorite followed by The June Frost (sorry if me liking the new stuff makes me untr00). I like the experimental stuff especially (i.e. the last 3 songs on TMV) that has a post-metal feel at parts, but it's all good. Thought I had some Stabat Mater somewhere too but it must be on the old computer.

Thergothon - Stream From the Heaven is the best, and the only really essential except for the whole Skepticism discography.

Worship - Last Tape/CD/LP Before Doomsday
Funeral - Tristesse and Tragedies

are all good, but not nearly in the same league as Thergothon and Skepticism.

A lot of Funeral Doom takes time to get through so with all these recs I'll probably be ignoring the big long list posts for a while lol.

I kinda like ahab and I like doom... but I prefer non growled vocals in doom metal... is funeral doom predominately harsh vocals or clean? (before I go digging in, it would be nice to know)

Yea I don't like clean vocals in doom for some reason...I can take some Candlemass but most of the time it's just too melodramatic like power metal vocals are. Ronnie James Dio annoys the shit out of me.
