Gamers Thread

This is a bit of a longshot, but does anyone here own Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo Revival for the Gameboy Advance and know how to reset the cartridge data on it? I picked up a used copy for my DS and want to clear the scores and unlocks from the previous person but I have been unable to find what key combo you use to do that (or if there even is any). And this isn't the type of cartridge where you can just screw it open and take out the battery according to random people on the internet.

It's beginning to look that way, yeah. It wouldn't be the only oversight on Capcom's part either. From searching the internet for that cart reset thing I've found that apparently there are atleast two bugs in this game that can permanently fuck up your cart if you trigger them. Whoops?

Oh well, I only picked it up used for a few bucks to kill some time. I guess it serves that purpose. It just sucks to have everything unlocked right from the start.

I'll never forgive Capcom for making Monster Hunter for PS2. Honestly such a horribly made game. They pretty much said WOW LET'S MAKE THE GRAPHIC ENGINE OWN AND EVERYTHING ELSE CAN JUST SUCK IT. GRAPHICS MAN, GRAPHICS NO ONE CARES ABOUT GOOD CONTROLS.

Cairath, I'd suggest buying a PSP (preferably a non-slim one) and hacking it so you can drop emulators on your memory card and run them from the Game menu. I did it, and I won't ever have to buy old games for GBA, NES, GBC, etc. because of it :p

I've finally managed to get an English version of Okami after blindly purchasing in Japanese on three separate occasions. Luckily, I got them traded for other games.
I've been reading rave reviews about the game all around the web. Hopefully, it's as good as they say.

:OMG:
Can't imagine playing something that long. 70 hours on FFX was more than enough for me...FFXII currently at about 60 hours, no end in sight. Losing the will to go on, even though I like the plot. Too many random boss battles.

Keep going, you're not that far from the end. Took me 80 hours if I remember right. You can always set it down, play another game, and come back to it.

I'm also playing Final Fantasy XII. My first FF experience, and it's pretty awesome.
The storyline however, is pretty meh, there are times when I have absolutely no idea what's going on:lol:
Also, this licenses system through which you strengthen the characters is a nuisance. Why did they have to make it so complicated?
Finally, there's this odd bit about purchasing ammunition for ranged weapons in the game. It seems like at one time, a particular store will be selling arrows, bombs, etc and when I return to it at a different time, it's like they've never even sold ammo. Kind of confusing.

It only took me 60, but I Don't think I did alot of the side missions.

I'm playing through Knights of the Old Republic 2, it's pretty awesome.

I try to beat RPG's (especially FF) without training and at the lowest level possible. To me, it's more fun to strategize in battle and work to defeat bosses. I think it took me something like 50-55 hours to beat FFXII and about the same (maybe a little less) for FFX. Currently, I'm working on VI, but it's extremely fucking hard because you can't use the scan technique easily :(.

I 'know' (loose use of the word) withered husks that used to be people who have spent/wasted 200+ days on World of Warcraft. And that was when i quit, towards the start of last year. I dunno if they are still playing...If they are, they are probably quite pale-skinned by now...

That beats 70 hours of FF i think.

Yeah after TBC came out, I nailed it to 70, got my epic flying mount and then sold my account for £150 to some gold seller website.

Then I changed the password, so I still have the account.

This.

Morrowind > Oblivion (I'm just hardcore that way)

I borrowed Black (PS2) from a friend. It's suprisingly really fun to play, considering it's an FPS for consoles...better than Halo.

Morrowind pwns Oblivion.

Black will get old after the first level or 2. I have it, and I've still yet to beat it. There's no storyline what so ever, and every level is essentially the same. It's fun for brief periods of time. Also, it takes forever to get to checkpoints so if you die (which is amazingly easy to do) you have to go back so far that I just usually get frustrated and throw the controller.
