My copy was too scratched to play, but the opening CG up till the middle of the song blows. Also, I'm told there's no lesbian scene. WTF?

Lord of Darkness.

It takes alot of patience, as it takes a while to develop the land, and you have to conquer all of Japan. Japan is divided into 48 different states, as of now, I have 14.

12 is awesome. 10 is also bitchin'. As is most of the series, tbh.

MOre or less. Although I have yet to work up the courage to play 7, as it's so fucking huge.

7 isn't as big as 8.

Anyways... about 8... I have a theory.

*SPOILER ALERT*

For those who have beaten it and seen the ending, please respond with your thoughts...

I think Rinoa is Ultimecia and Squall is her GF. I stole the theory (somewhat) from a guy on Gamefaqs, but there were a few more shards of evidence I picked up. Such as the name of her GF being the same name given to the emblem on your sword. Also, Ultimecia going to Edea's house as she was dying and her desperation to make it there as she was dying (she was heading there to meet Squall). Any other inquiries about evidence, read the plot analysis FAQ on Gamefaqs.

Also, Laguna is Squall's father.

Anyone who cares, please respond.

Ok, I read that Final Fantasy X has Monster Arena. I loved this feature in Dragon Quest VIII. Can you summon your monster team to aid you in battles, like in Dragon Quest?

Well, you don't have a monster team, so...
But yeah, there's a Monster Arena. I kinda got bored of all the sidequest stuff except for Blitzball.

You can get some useless bonus shit in the monster arena and also you can go around and capture monsters to get bonus shit. The only thing it's useful for is Rikku's weapons upgrades, which are kinda overrated. So basically, it's generally a waste of time.

okami is class for the visual style alone, i admittedly got bored with it before completing it though

final fantasy VII is my favourite game of all time, god, i love it. clearly better than any FF which came after, although i do have major personal attachment to VIII (not in the way you might think). plus VIII is basically VII for teenagers, so i loved it when i was younger. IX i like but it's way too traditional fantasy for my liking. X i just couldn't get into, horrible voice acting and boring story, it was good for an RPG but i have high standards. XI i didnt play, XII i didn't like. i love VII because it's so dark and reflective with all sorts of awesome subtext and a fantastic gritty world and an amazing soundtrack and you get the picture.

some of the early games are great in some ways, i used to really like VI, problem with those was the sheer amount of random battles though. i'm way too impatient.

metal gear solid (first one) is probably my second favourite game of all time. cook-ta man, play all of them if you have the means, seriously. they're all different and they're all fucking awesome. 1 has the best story/atmosphere, 2 has some of the best gameplay i've ever seen, 3... i'm not a massive fan of 3, too fiddly, but it's still essential playing because it's so different and so brilliantly made. i can't wait to play 4 but it won't be happening any time soon, don't have the money.

cook-ta:That's quite a sister you've got there.
I have the third game in the MGS series- "The Snake Eater" for the PS2, but I've never felt the urge to play it for some reason. Need to give it a try one of these days.

Started playing Resident Evil 4 again. I forgot how awesome this game is.

you should definitely give it a go man, it won't be much like anything you've played before. like i said above it's a bit too fiddly, that's the only problem for me. resi 4 rules btw.

i really need to play twin snakes one of these days, it's basically MGS1 with the graphics and gameplay of MGS2 which ought really to be the perfect game. i heard it has some problems though, so maybe not. i'll still love it i'm sure, problem is i don't have a gamecube. i could prob pick one up cheap these days

Because it's pretty easy to survive in it.:p
Is there a Hard mode setting for RE4? I've played it through on Easy, and now have started playing on Normal. Can't see any difference.Regardless, it's extremely fun.
The additional games that you unlock upon completion of single player are also well-done.
