Gamers, what are your decisions?

They're not normal prices, I was going for open-box and scratch-and-dent like a madman. Radeon X1900GT did the trick, and I got a serious chunk of the price knocked off because it was open-box.

I just screenshotted this wishlist, so i might as well post it here too:

I put this together a month or two ago, just to get a general ideao of upgrades I need to play TODAY'S HOTTEST GAMEZ.
I'm sure if you look for rebates and shit, you could knock it down a ton, but I haven't messed with it.

lepersmeesa, ask Kazrog - I can't say as I don't use OS X, but he seems really happy with it. I'd tell you my thoughts on it, but I can't stand OS X.

I'm really tempted to install Darwinia, as the developers actually made a decent bloody Linux client, but I know I shouldn't until the semester is over...

If you like Star Wars I def. would pick it up, the price is pretty low considering its a quality game just keep in mind it is a few years old.

KOTOR, KOTOR 2, Jade Empire & Mass Effect all play almost identically. The only difference is I feel that KOTOR 2 is less 'cookie cutter' than the rest. The original KOTOR is all good and fine too, but the 2nd is really where its at. Much deeper delve into the philosophy and inner-troubles of the Jedi than any of the movies have ever done. It's a shame the game only shipped 50% complete, but the community restoration pack is almost done! Anyway, even at 50% done it's still, IMO, the best RPG to come out this decade (unless you count Planescape Torment as being from this decade).

Yeah that is very convincingly. I´m searching for a good RPG like a desperate whore..I played Morrorwind, Oblivion, Deus ex, Fallout 3 and Mass Effect very passionate. I only get game satisfaction by playing RPGs. Conventionally first person shooters always boring me..(except COD 4 online).

just to chime in on the whole PC vs console thing, i got myself a 360 because it does what i want it to do..sit down at the end of a work day and play games with no hassle. no sitting down waiting for a game to install, not having to build a gaming PC with this GPU and that processor or whatnot, no annoying securom or whatever copy protection.

i mean, i spend the whole day sitting in front of a computer mixing/editing and the last thing i want to do is the same when im gaming. besides, when was the last time you had mates over huddled at a computer desk playing games? i'd much rather stretch out on the couch, beer and controller in hand in front of a 42" LCD halfway across the room yknow..

and xbox 360 is about 300 dollars here, ive had one minor slowdown on GoW2 during the brumak part with a million locust on screen...fair enough. don't recall any slowdowns on GTA4 either, maybe unless you were stacking a ton of cars together and blowing them up...but yeah, consoles work for me IMHO ;)

dead space is an excellent game, will be picking up winning eleven 2009 soon, and probably guitar hero world tour as well.

on that note, has anyone realized that the GHWT drumkit is fully MIDI capable and velocity sensitive? seems like a nice bonus feature to mess around with...

Have you played Fallout 1 & 2, Baldur's Gate II, Throne of Baal & Planescape Torment? These are the greatest RPGs - nay, games, of all time.

I´m not the greatest star wars fan..but I heard, that KOTOR is very similar to MASS EFFECTS concerning the gameplay. And what about JADE EMPIRE ? Any recommandation from you, guys ?

Yes, they are very similar. All of them; KOTOR, Jade Empire, and Mass Effect but they are also different. They are all made by BioWare.

Okay guys..I think, I will play Jade empire and after it I try a classic like Baldur´s Gate. I´m looking forward on upcoming RPGs with modern technology. What are the hottest releases in the next time for PC and Consoles ? Did someone played the shivering isles add on for oblivion ??

Shame on me. I know the games are classics, but I never played a Baldur´s Gate. I think, I should change it;)
