this is a work in progress. the band hasn´t heard it yet. just wanted to know what you guys think.

Thanks! The band is called Torturized.
The drummer indeed is awesome. I guess it´s those gravity blasts and he is quite good in doing them.
It was a pain to trigger it ´cause there was no trigger track recorded and the snare sound was worse than st anger.......

any improvement tips?

Sweet! That guitartone is heavy as hell! I heard the older version as well and i liked the drums better in that one, gave it some oldschool vibe to it.

i liked the first mix more, too. but the drummer wanted another snare and bass drum so i had to change it.

guits were double tracked. 2 with the standard ts-> 5150-> mesa 4x12" ->sm 57 and the other two tracks were ts-> 5150-> diezel 4x12" (loaded with g12h-100) ->sm 57
i didn´t like the diezel on its own but it mixes quite nice with the mesa.
don´t know which guitars the guys used as i only mixed the songs.

updated the link again. seems to be the final version.... i think the bd still has a little bit too much clickiness in it but the drummer wanted it that way.

Yeah the kick it's a bit clicky, but I think otherwise it could have sounded so buried in the mix, I didn't listen to the first version though.

torturized invented a death metal concert called metal clash (www.metal-clash.de)
i played their with my old band Human Butchery.

they are a bunch of nice guys. and i must say their development is fantastic
