Yeah, sometimes you need to chill out. Sometimes you want to hear some innovative guitar playing. But sometimes you need to listen to something that fucking destroys your ears and makes you break your own neck with furious unholy power chords, and thats what this thread is for! Some of the more experienced headbangers will probably know all of these.

Tribulation - Beyond the Horror

Now, ya'll probably know by now that I'm a huge Destroyer 666 fan, but I dunno how many of you have actually heard them. For those that haven't, here's one of the most epic headbangers of all time!

clammo: tbh I didn't even listen to Bolt Thrower until a few weeks ago
clammo: I'm sure there's more out there that are sissies like me
clammo: but goddamn are Bolt Thrower awesome

Why don't people talk more about this thrash masterpiece? (I'm sure a lot of you are familiar with it)

I cannot emphasize enough how much this band rocks.

And an underrated classic.

Local band that never went anywhere, but is totally solid. They still play around here a lot.

Solid thrash.

Solid drunkedn thrash.

And finally, because nobody is more metal than King Diamond.

Anyway, that's what I've been rocking out to lately. I'm sure I'll think of more later.

Morbid Saint is definitely the best rec in this thread besides bolt thrower. its ridiculous that the morbid saint album didn't catch on, it's one of the most furious fuckin albums ever.

Holy shit, a music thread... lets get it on!

Let's start over in Malaysia with Mantak:

http://www.myspace.com/mantakhz

Like most eastern bands, they don't fuck around.

Slightly associated, by a split and label, from Japan we have Abigail:

http://www.myspace.com/666abigail

These guys, while still Thrashy Black, regress a bit into the vein of the more 80's versions of the genres. Catchy riffs, galloping drums, they've got it.

From one of them men behind Abigail, we have Barbatos... MORE BLACK/THRASH:

http://www.myspace.com/barbatosjapan

In the same way as Abigail, a bit of a regressed to the 80's, but FUCK YOU. This man is one "rocking metal motherfucker". Filled with broken english and bass heavy guitar riffs, this shit is where it's at.

Lets leave Asia, bird flu and all... and lets head to 1980's europe for some of the influence on the above.

http://www.myspace.com/mefisto1986

Mefisto, from sweden, released 2 demo's in the mid 80's that eventually were repackaged into a compilation in the late 90's. Speed/Thrash/Black here, for real men. No idea what happened to them after they released the demo's, sadly.

http://www.myspace.com/mastershammer666

Over in the Czech Republic, Master's Hammer was brewing up what would influence the progressive/experimental black scene for years to come. They held strong till the mid 90's, disappearing after releasing Šlágry, a very questionable release.

Next post will be some fucking death metal.

Gospel of the Horns

http://www.myspace.com/gospelofthehorns

Yeah, I know I said Death Metal in this post, but the Death Metal elements definitely overshadow the thrash in this, so fuck off and die. Death-Thrash from the heart of Australia.

http://www.myspace.com/thevomitor

The thrashier side of Gospel of the Horns... I'm just throwing it out there.

http://www.myspace.com/tyrantsblood

Heading over to canada for some newer music, we have Tyrant's Blood. Once again, elements of other genres are present, namely thrash and black, but it's really hard to find good pure Death these days. This is the kinda music that will turn your dick inside out and show you how much of a woman you really are.

http://www.myspace.com/funeratus

Wait, did I say it was hard to find pure death these days? I totally forgot about an entire country! Brazil's Funeratus. I said Death Metal, here it fucking is. May have mentioned these dudes before.

http://www.myspace.com/descerebrationdeathmetal

Another group of Brazilian's playing some fucking DEATH METAL.

Next up... I think some black.

Morta Skuld:

Illdisposed (fucking LOVE this tune):

Definitely brutal and good but damn that production sucks. Sounds like a big pile of slop. I can only make out what the guitars are doing during the solos.

Crisp, clean, modern production has ruined me.

Well its hard to really get a good idea of production from a youtube clip, but either way I think it sounds fine, lol. I'm not a fan of the crisp, clean, modern productions.
