Yep the string tone has more highs after fast fret is applied, its surprisingly quite a bit brighter IMO

and it has to be greasy to remove the grease piled up by the fingers - oil dissolves oil

I use it and have done for over 12 years, I would go through strings like a pack a week if i didnt

Fast Fret seriously pro longs the life, tone and feel of the strings like new for, in my case, months on end!!! couldn't play/use guitar without it really!

Def don't use the crappy rag they give you to wipe it off. Use a good microfiber cloth that you would normally use for the fret board.

Sometimes I do that too. If I'm gonna play the guitar right away i wipe off some because i dont like it to oily. If I just put in the case after I'm done ill sometimes leave it.

Yea I havent been wiping it off, because my fingers end up wiping it off a lil any way

No use for it In the studio, but I'm loving it for lie use... I apply it after the gig to preserve the strings, get the sweat and grime off them.
It's also good for the fretboard, keeps it from drying out.

I don't really like it. It's ok if you put it on new strings, but after the strings are past the point of no return - playing wise, you're better off buying new strings.

Tangential, but, I used Gorgomyte for the first time about a month ago and it lives up to the hype, killer product.

I would recommend it to everybody unequivocally.
