I was excited to walk in the local mini music store to pick up the Arch Enemy DVD when i happened to see the Gigantour DVD. I was happy, like a kid in a toy store...only a metalhead in a music store....just can't leave without wanting to empty your bank account.

Well back to the topic, right when i came home i put it in to watch. Very good footage, i think the first band sucked - Bobaflex, how they got on that tour, no idea what mustaine was smokin at the time. The Fear Factory performance was awesome, i would like to see them live one day it looks like a good show, and the Dream Theatre set was cool too, i DEFINATLY want to see them...

But what made me upset was...they played 1 or 2 songs of every band, not all the songs they did. and Nevermore was barley seen on the DVD other then the 2 live performances.

It was cool when Dream Theatre did the Cementary Gates Cover...that was bad ass.

But the lack of Nevermore was a turn off. Jeff says a few words and thats it on the bonus disc...other then that it was very cool..

And the Arch Enemy DVD...Mike Ammotts sound during the live set was horrible, you cant hear them they messed up on the DVD....that was also an upset.

what do you guys think of the DVD's?

and it was cool to see the whole Nevermore Guys up on the Stage on the DVD...yes that means you Steve & Jim :headbang:

funny how Jim Looks like the guy from the Captian Morgan Bottle....:) :)

oh, and i watched the arch enemy dvd at a friend's house and i thought it was pretty good. i didnt notice mike's sound being bad....i thought that chris's leads on a few songs were completely drowned out.

I thought the AE sounds were great, myself. I got the Gigantour CD, not the DVD yet, though, and wished they had killed Bobaflex and Dry Kill Logic by sodomization with fire hydrant, but until that full-feature Nevermore DVD comes out their two songs will be quite enough to tide me over.

On that note, since that DVD show was cancelled is there any chance that we'll see Steve whenever they get around to setting up another filming? *crosses fingers, toes, arms, legs, balls, various objects around the house, waits hopefully*

Jeff

Nevermore played the following on the DVD

Born
Enemies of Reality

Thats it....

and no extras with them, Van says a few sentences about how Megadeth chose them for the tour...thats it

serious...

fuck it, ill just download the nevermore footage instead of dropping the $ for the dvd. the only other band i remotely like on that is fear factory, and they dont even play zero signal.

I believe the DVD show that was cancelled was only for additional footage
to what they have already. As far as I know, they have been filming footage
for their full DVD since their Gigan-tour. I think we can expect to see plenty of Steve on that when it comes out.

I believe that the rescheduled show in October is infact being filmed for the "main concert" of the DVD. Additional footage of the band's previous show in Seattle, various gigantour footage and other live stuff will be the "additional footage" from what i have read.

Where did you read that?

It's been widely reported for months now, that the filming in Germany would be the focal point of the DVD while bits and pieces of the last show in Seattle, gigantour, and probably other various life footage from early on will be included as additional footage. I read it on blabbermouth.net and on the band's official website they say it is the "DVD recording, Bochum Germany."
