Glitch in I am

When I read this, I knew I shouldn't listen to it. I just knew it! But I did. :(

I don't know how it sounds like voice to y'all, to me it almost sounds like a DJ spinning a disc kinda thing. I wouldn't be surprised if Val slipped that in there knowing he likes electronic music. :p Just kidding bro.

But to be honest, I never really have fully heard the "watch me put on a show" part.

I think you're all crazy. :p And I think I'm pretty good at hearing glitches. There's just nothing there. Or else I'm just deaf.

I understand if Matt doesn't hear it because it's probably something he just isn't realizing is what we're talking about. But it's super blunt. If you listen to that 1 second over and over (1:26 on the teaser), I think you'll hear it.

I listened in the studio, on laptop speakers, in my truck, on the CD, on the original master WAV file, on an MP3, on YouTube, on headphones, over and over and over and I really don't hear anything other than the vocal overlap and the china cymbal there. So bizzare!

Matt is right, you're definitely hearing the cymbal. Right at 1:26. It's sort of off-beat, so maybe it is catching you by surprise. It is a very sharp, bright splash cymbal or something.

What a beat up!

I'm still waiting until Christmas day to download AtWB,
but I've heard this 'glitch' on the teaser - I had to really listen for it,
and clearly it's not a glitch or mistake.

Matt does have ears, you know!

I decided to put the file in audacity and cut it to only the wop sound and just repeat it. There's no way you won't hear it here.

TheocracyX... LOL

I've listened to the teaser quite a few times BEFORE this thread and never heard it...

There is a cymbal right there after the wop but as for the wop itself, no way possible ever unless digitally editted a billion different ways.

I didn't know you were talking about that...you are hearing the word "watch". It comes in a bit earlier than you might expect. it is not a mistake.

It's not that it's earlier than expected, it's that it sounds *nothing* like any of the other vocals around it: different volume, different tone, different everything. I'm starting to think I'm crazy that only a few of us think it sounds out of place :loco:

I have the CD and I have never noticed it until i read this thread! Yeah it sounds like a dog's "woof!".

I never noticed this glitch before I read this thread. Now I hear it very clearly every time I listen to it...

I have the CD and it's clearly there, totally out of context of the rest of the vocals and music. It almost sounds like a hiccup

There's another one on my disc.
Does anybody of you hear a sound at the last seconds of the track (10:51) that sounds if there is a mobile phone too near to the speaker? You know this fast pulsing "bipbipbip"...

Sorry Matt, I don't want to take away anything from that album with this question. The production is great! I listened to Wuthering Height's "Salt" right after the album and it sounded almost muddy in comparison.

Yeah, let's put this in perspective. We all love this album to pieces. The fact that we can spend 3 pages discussing a tiny noise that may or may not be intentional just verifies our status as the home of the World's Most Diehard Theocracy Fans
