[The Ozzman]

The first Iced Earth is pretty damn solid. The drumming is simplistic and they start rehashing chord progressions halfway through, but there are some excellent melodies to be found there, and it was the beginning of a new era of power metal.

I like it, but it's definitely the worst or second worst of the first 6 albums

Actually Horror Show is probably like a 5-6/10, especially if you delete the couple bad songs, so fair enough. It at least sounds like an album where they put effort into writing different songs with different ideas. So Burnt > Horror >> the rest.
