I'm with CiG in this one...although I have to admit the main reason is a big dose of CBF.

I don't think it makes the post any nicer to read. It does make it so when you copy the list you lose the numbers (and get indents instead on Firefox). If it's what you prefer then I'll happily start using it in your threads.

I've only used it occasionally when putting multiple lists in one post with some text above to explain each list, eg. in the Top 5 List thread, but even then I haven't been consistent because I'd prefer if there was less space between the list and the preceding text.

Once I realized that it omits the numbers when searching the thread for everybody who voted for a particular album, I just stopped. But if your method is made easier by it I'll happily do it too.

It does work better for my method, because then when I copy-paste the list in a block to an Excel spreadsheet, I don't want the individual rankings to appear on the album names themselves.

#10 N.W.A - Straight Outta Compton
(17 Points)

Genre(s):
Gangsta Rap, West Coast Hip Hop

Turntablism, Political Hip Hop

N.W.A. ruled! 1988's "Straight outta Compton" still is my favorite Rap-record. Fuck da Police!
I still think NWA did better work as a group tho
Gotta completely disagree with you there. Solo Ice Cube, solo Dre, solo Eazy-E and solo MC Ren were all way better than N.W.A. in my personal opinion.
Geto Boys were pretty good, but NWA were really cool. The feeling I get from listening to them is very close to what listening to Mayhem's "Total Fucking Armageddon" makes me feel.

Celtic New Age

Ethereal Wave, Ambient Pop, Celtic Folk Music

I have an Enya obsession.
Yeah I just realized what today is earlier, going to just listen through 'til Slayer gives me a headache then relax to some Enya
I want to be able to drink mead and fucking listen to Enya. Is that so wrong? :cool:

#6 Talk Talk - Spirit of Eden
(24 Points)

Genre(s):
Post-Rock

Jazz-Rock, Chamber Jazz, Art Rock, Chamber Music

Talk Talk are pretty lame imo.
Some of my favourite albums of ever are post-rock pieces:

Talk Talk - Spirit of Eden*
Talk Talk - Laughing Stock*
Bark Psychosis - Hex
Godspeed You Black Emperor! - Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas to Heaven
Mogway - Mr Beast
Sigur Ròs - ( )

etc. etc.

Wonderful bands of limitless creativity and quality. I also like Giardini Di Mirò, an Italian post-rock band, everybody should listen to Rise and Fall of Academic Drifting.

*: ESSENTIAL.
post-rock sucks tho except for like 2 bands so it's okay)(also the two bands are talk talk and bark psychosis
most of the bands people call post-rock nowadays really are not even post-rock.

Post-rock during the formative years of its existence was simply non-rock music played with rock instruments. This meant bands like Bark Psychosis, Slint, Talk Talk, etc.

Bands like Explosions in the Sky, iLiKETRAiNS, & Sigur Ros really don't create music that is anything removed from rock.
