Obviously make sure to hit up RYM yourself and search your favourite genres.

The deadline is 15th of May 2020.

The rules:
- submit at least 5 releases.
- first place in your rankings gets 10 points, 2nd gets 9, etcetc, 10th gets 1.
- feel free to post more than 10, but only the top 10 will get points.
- feel free to post less than 10, the same scoring will apply.
- feel free not to rank your picks, in which case all ten picks will get 5.5 points.

GNMD = General Non-Metal Discussion, so NO UNAMBIGUOUSLY METAL ALBUMS are to be included in anybody's list.

*Didn't include Buffalo, Uriah Heep, Budgie, Blue Öyster Cult, Ice Cross and a few others because metal.

Uriah Heep and BOC being considered metal is a stretch. Buffalo, Ice Cross, and Budgie... I mean I get it but are we ever going to do metal rankings for the 70s? Seems like these will get left in limbo forever if not.

Don't see why we wouldn't, we've almost done every year. The idea was we were going to do the entire decade as one game.
I don't participate in these lists mostly because I'm a lazy fuck, but what about dividing up the decade in two?

The other idea was to make it a top 20 instead of dividing in two.

I just go by primary and secondary genre classifications on RYM, Wiki etc.
Secondary is a wide spectrum. You kept High Tide - Sea Shanties on your 1969 list. Even Queen - Sheer Heart Attack has heavy metal as secondary. It's cool if the 70s metal criteria is a little loose though, because then my list is gonna look quite tame.
