wew, I don't think there's a single album from this year I'd feel confident listing without revisiting. Some of which is going to involve going 12+ years back to listen to albums that I only knew a couple songs of at the time in my search for music that reminded me of the Unreal Tournament OST only to forget all about after I really got into metal. You should check out the Tenhi and Empyrium albums from this year. I'm not a big fan of the latter but it seems like something that you'd like.
