Go BIG or go home.

Nice work man. Digging the heavyness.

Question: Are you using artificial stereo widening on the guitars? The phase sounds weird on the Opals. They sound a little odd, phasey, boxy etc. in general. Love most-everything else though :)

You got a good ear dude!

It does sound very similar to Controller, nice work. The only thing I'm not digging is the slate.

I used 2 cabs (thd and 6505) and 3 mics in the same room. Then i slid tracks around in protools and i think that might be some of the phase problems.

421 on the 6505

57 on the thd and had to be off axis cause they have a wood thing blocking the cone. The the thd is half back so i used another 421 in the back of the cab.

the 6505 and 57 are like 10db louder than thd and 421. So its the meat of the tone.

Agreed that I can't jive with the drums much.

The separation in the mix is cool, but I feel like the drums aren't cohesive enough. I have that gripe with a lot of mixes on this board. You can still do a sampled kit and make it gel better.

Guitar tone works. It's cool, and definitely sounds better than the POD tones you used to use. There could be a bit more meat on the guitars I think.

sounds awesome, dude!!!!

taking a little inspiration from the ole' Charles J? =D

good shit, good shit.

i hear vibe. and intensity. and.... awesomeness!

Nice mix! I immediately thought of Misery Signals just as a couple others mentioned. Too bad the drummer wouldn't skin up.
