Goign to Try experimenting in Open C. String Gauge for 25.5"

After watching a few Devin Townsend videos, I am quite intruiged to try out that tuning.

I have a custon 25.5" guitar, and it has always been set up for half step down tuning. I use .11-.49 elixirs and it works great for me.

Anyhow, I know Devin has a Baritone, but can anyone suggest what strings to try this out with?! Or anythign they have had success with?! Brand/Gauge/Package? Thanks for any help!

For open C on a 25.5" guitar I've always like a 10-52 set with a 56 on the bottom instead of the stock 52.

I went and picked up this 10-52 set and after tuning up, and setting intonation, I understand why you went with the .56.

I'm going to have to go back and find an individual one from a local store.

Very cool tuning though, Im having fun experimenting with it. Very thick and full sound.
