probably, but why does it matter? if a band is good then it's good, and Slipknot isn't really a bunch of posers, most of the newer shock rock bands like Crossbreed and Motogrator are a bunch of posers

sure there was kiss, marilyn manson before them but they both wore makeup, not masks, am i missing somerhing here? slipknot isn't posers, but the people who like their music usually act like posers though, most of those nu-metal dicks who sit around hot topic saying their life sucks, i hate it when people start acting like shit because of listening to nu-metal, nu-metal's cool but when it brainwashes the dumbasses of america thats when it pisses me off, and the fact all the good nu-metal bands are old and the newer ones sucks
