btw, among the catacombs of nephren-ka is the best choose if you wanna know nile, imo.

and of course the old cryptopsy era is very brutal, but he wanna know tech and brutal bands.

The OP mentioned Yattering, so perhaps something a bit more on the quirky side.

Most of the rec's so far are definitely 'Brutal Tech Death', but maybe not in the same 'spirit' as Yattering.

While not in the BTD category, I'd suggest Cephalic Carnage, Emeth, & Commit Suicide

Most of what everyone else has suggested is great stuff and should be checked out as well. This is one of my favorite sub-genres.
