Good multiband compressor?

I'm currently planning on buying the Waves C6. From all that you suggested, this seems to be the best one and the most priceworthy.

Maybe this is a dumb question... But I've never used more than 2 bands on c4 ever. Can someone describe a situation when they would need 6 bands?

Don't know really, but since the C6 costs as much as the C4 does, I figured I'd just go for the C6, haha.

Haha! Good call. I bought my c4 a year or two ago when it was on sale for Black Friday. But I can't help but to wonder why someone would need so many bands. For a bass aux I use the most bands but even that using 6 bands seems like overkill.

Basically c4 without the phase rotation at the crossovers.
