Hi

I am looking for some E530 tracks..
to be precise:
- a DI track,
- DI track reamped through the E530 lead channel, with everything set to 12'oclock
- Same as above, but with gain set to zero, and a track with gain at max..
(NO cab/impulse please)

I'm working an a vst-project.. and.. as you might have figured out by the info above, I'm trying to model the E530 :saint:
I have been working on my tubemodel for a while now...and I finally seem to be able to pull it off, but I need some reference of the real thing since I don't own that preamp myself, and since it's my first "ampsim", things could easily get messy

It would be most helpful, since I want the result to sound good and not be too far off the real deal:kickass:
(freeware when/if finished)

i can't help with files, sold my E530 long time ago, missing it:(
nice idea with the digital model, can't wait to try it out someday!:)

if you need a good skin for the vst...CLICK :D:D

cheers
S.

A VSTi of that bad boy would fucking RULE dude! Unfortunately my blessing and encouragement is all I have to offer however :D

Interesting, but you could have more help if you post in the equipment section I guess...
I don't have the 530 tho, so I hope you get some help from the others here!

Don't know what schematics you're using, but the ones on "The house of engl amps" site (or smth) are renown to be pretty unaccurate and plaing wrong sometimes, so I hope you're using the reverse-engineered ones...

Good luck!

Yeah, I'm using the reverse-engineered schematics (handwritten) :p

If someone can give me a reamped version of one of Marcus' holy diver DI's through the hi-gain lead channel with every knobs on 12o'clock that would be nice ;)
this is a clip from my plug with netural settings, through Catharsis s-preshigh impulse.. with the DI's everybody hates so much right now:p
DI's -> plugin - > Impulse -> EQ:hp@60hz, lp@12khz

..so far only inspired by the lead channel of the amp, but it would be easier if I had something to compare it with.. *hint* :p

I don't have an ENGL but I think that sounds pretty cool. Very impressive that you could make your own vst amp sim. Keep at it.

HOoooooly shit dude. As a previous owner of an e530 ( and DAMN how do I miss it... ) that clip sounds remarkably close to the character of the distortion. I am REALLY impressed!

I will talk to my friend, whom I sold the e530...

Dude what in the fuck, seriously get ahold of KAZROG on here - he is the man to help you out with this. An e530 VST would be so awesome! :headbang:

I'm happy that at least one of you recognize some similarities between the clip I've posted and the real thing.. !
The plugin isnt completed yet, there's still a bit of programming/optimization/testing and failing before I can release it ;) It's a cpu killer at the moment:/
But I'm working on it continously ;)

the audioclip sounds fucking good!
i just hope the GUI will be not be fucked up as most of the other free (i hope this one will be free:D) stuff!

Well, it's going to be free, but what do you mean by fucked up? :p
This is my first plugin that will have a GUI, so it might fuck with you, in the first release at least ;)
