That's a total bargain for these cans. They can't even be compared to anything else at that price range.
Having said that my love affair with them died significantly after getting the Opals and almost entirely treating the room. The mid-forward nature of the ATH's sounds too stuffy and gentle. I feel like there is a blanket over everything, which is partially what i don't like about all mid-forward monitoring.

nice man, i love these too. they came so highly recommended on here and gearslutz that i had to get them. like the SM7, this product lived up to all the hype i'd heard about them.

When I was mixing with my rokit 6 with no acoustic treatment, I always hipassed guitars at 80Hz, I knew why I was doing this but I couldn't even hear the difference. With my ATH-M50, I hear the difference even at 30 Hz. Fuck yes.
