Got Snow ?

yeh that looks like nothing compared to what im used to. Devouredremains where abouts in BC are you from?

Another Ohioan here. Snow is mostly gone as of Monday 3/10 - 4:30PM EST in Columbus, Ohio. Personally, I love snow. Great to drive in unless you actually have to get somewhere. If I'm not mistaken, studded tires are illegal around here. Partly due to the damage it does to the roads?! I guess the city like them accident numbers high. Only thing I didn't like was that I live in an apartment building and the asshole next door shoveled a few feet of snow out from behind his car to go somewhere Saturday and he dumped all that snow behind my car! Sucks to be him this year... ; )

 winter tires.

Like I have a job that pays me enough to buy such a thing.

You can get a full set (4 tires) for 300 euros (450 USD) in Finland :) Good quality ones, too.

besides doesn't matter what tires you have there was no salt on the parking lot and the ice was a good half inch thick. any vehicle going any decent speed would get owned.

You should come visit here some day  It's not unusual to drive around in 10 cm (4 inches) snow coverage. Again, winter tires are the charm :headbang: Forgot to mention that hybrid winter tires are also popular nowadays. It combines friction tires and studded tires, for best traction in any conditions: clear ice, slush, thick snow, and so on.

If the road is completely frozen over, you can have the best winter tires in the world and it won't help shit (unless you have snow chains or you're driving a tank).

Are winter tires compulsory where you coming from? Here they are and that's how it should be.
