For some reason while I was listening to Will Stronger Than Death (which I finally succumbed to downloading even though I ordered it) I kept thinking about Bathory's Hammerheart. They're much different albums, but they both give off a similiar Epic kinda a feel. Very niice.

actually, if I'm being honest, I don't think the new Graveland is even nearly as good as "Iron Blades" or "Fire Chariot". The production sounds inferior too.
Maybe Rob should just take a year off and not rush these releases out.

Rock Hard Mag. attack against Graveland and Nokturnal Mortum
My response to the article from Rock Hard Mag. Nr
A big popular German magazine about metal music Rock Hard Mag. published a propaganda article „Der Rechte Rand in Black Metal”. This article attacks bands, widely classified as NSBM and labels/distributions that release and sell their music. The first and most surprising thing striking the reader is that this article is a strictly political article. This is not an article about music; this is the article about political beliefs of the members of these bands. Why Rock Hard Mag., which is a musical magazine, occupies with politics? Since when commercial musical magazines write about politics? And on such a big scale? I do not read articles published in Rock Hard Mag. because I am not interested in metal scene promoted by this magazine but I have an impression that the article „Der Rechte Rand in Black Metal” is different than other articles from this magazine. So why Rock Hard Mag. decided to publish this article? Why they attack our political and religious convictions that we have a constitutional right to have? Democracy is a system which allows everyone to have one’s own political convictions and to believe in anything a person wants to believe, right? Under the condition that these political convictions and beliefs are not forced or imposed…So Germany is not a democratic country? Rock Hard Mag. publishes information that has nothing to do with the reality and what’s more they publish it in an attacking style….I can use only one word to describe it – INTOLERANCE! I will add one more word – IGNORANCE. Because if someone treats LORD WIND as a NSBM band it means that this person has no idea about the music of the bands they wrote about. It means that they added the bands automatically from the “black list” (more about this list later).
Unfortunately during last few years one can observe in Germany increasing aversion towards Poland and Polish people. And now Rock Hard Mag. joins this anti-Polish front. German mass media attack not only Polish bands, but also Polish politics and Polish politicians, Polish government, Polish President and Polish Prime Minister….
Let me remind you a story of BM band Othar. Around half a year ago Othar went to Germany to play a gig. They did not play even for two minutes because German police brutally pacified this gig. The police carried the body search of every person that came for this gig. Among policemen who just did their job, there were also some individuals wearing civilian clothes (probably working for leftist organizations occupied with persecution and censoring of German metal scene). These individuals showed the police the members of bands and pointed out “political suspected” t-shirts and stripes. (report from concert of Ohtar)
Do we deal with a quiet cultural revolution in Germany in a Chinese style? Censors armed in red little books with Mao thoughts hunt politically incorrect “witches”? Rock Hard Mag. publishing this article joined this “witch hunt”. They did it because of few possible reasons: first of all, they could be paid to publish this article (later I will write why) or second, people who work in the editorial office are members of one of leftist organizations. These members of the leftists organizations united by “elevated” slogans “Together under red flag….rise your clenched fist…down with fascism!” want to destroy independent metal scene with communists means. They want to destroy freedom of thought, political incorrectness and ideas that created and the fundaments of independent BM underground.
At the same time people in Palestine, Lebanon, Iraq or Afghanistan die every day….they die not because of fascism. They die because of the decisions made by the politicians who usurp the right to make all the decisions around the world and who try to force upon other countries their social-political-economical model. These people sponsor leftist organizations which try to censor BM scene. In 2006 European Union paid 2 billions euros to support fight against reinforcing right wing movement in Germany. German communist party got the money and they distribute it to smaller leftist organizations and associations as ANTIFA. This kind of sponsoring is not a secret and left-wing organizations do not deny it. Left wing ideas are only propaganda background to recruit young people to volunteer job in the name of “high” ideas. Later some of them form left wing terrorists groups to fight against the enemy. At the same time leaders and propagandists make big money…money coming from the EU. So I have to right to think that Rock Hard Mag. got money to publish this article.
Why Graveland is considered to be NSBM as Graveland is not NSBM band?
In the article in Rock Hard Mag. Graveland is described as NSBM but it does not give any proof of it. As for Nocturnal Mortum there are some “clear” sings of their “guilt” (hidden song with number 88 – how can you find a witch? Look for a hidden mark or 666 under her hair….). It happened because of few reasons. I have never commented or denied plots and information about Graveland. And many cult myths concerning Graveland appeared. Rubbish about Graveland, rather amused me, than upset me. Article in Rock Hard Mag. also amused me…because it is really funny how such big magazines compromise themselves with such unprofessional articles about underground.
But why Graveland is considered as NSBM band? What is the reason?
Maybe it is due to the activities of two other cult underground persons who used to be Graveland members Capricornus – Thor’s Hammer and Karcharoth – Infernum… well known persons of their radical right wings convictions. But they left Graveland around 10 years ago. Graveland released legendary split CD “Raiders of Revenge” with skinhead Polish band Honor. But this spilt had a neo-pagan character. Honor wanted skinhead scene to learn more about pagan beliefs as a way of inspiration for real patriotism and strength shaping the will and character of a proud warrior. Honor is NS? And this is it? They are skinheads? And that is it? They are not people? Thanks to them I understood that each scene has its creative elite which is open and has emotions that must be set free. These people want to share these emotions and they want to show to other people what they think, they want to discuss. The rest are typical herd fascinated with fashion…mental emptiness. It does not matter if we speak about metal or skinhead scene.
Do you know any proof showing Graveland as NSBM band? I cannot find them in Rock Hard Mag. article. They write that Nocturnal Mortum put picture of burnt synagogue on cover of one of their album.
The reason to name Graveland NSBM band is totally different and more complicated. And it has its roots in black list ADL.
ADL (Anti Defamation League) is a Jewish organization with head office in the United States. Mainly it is occupied with fight against Islamic and Palestinian liberation movements. ADL also searches and fights against anti-Semitism – but this is the less important occupation. ADL is sponsored by Israel and by world-wide Jewish lobby that is very powerful in the United States. Methods of action of ADL are different. They use ordinary acts of violence (they attack also Jewish activists who want peace with Palestinians). But they put the biggest impact on propaganda activities. Many Jewish students living in campuses all over the world work for ADL. They live typical normal student life waiting for the orders from the organization.

Of course ADL used this confusion with anti-Semitic character and gladly put Graveland on their list of enemies (as everyone knows each organization needs sponsors, so ADL also needs sponsors so putting ‘anti-semitic’ band on their list was a good business move). There are much more bands on this list, bands from different countries around the world. And this list has a great impact on what is published in political and musical magazines and what is spread in mass media. Because Jewish people work in these mass media and they treat ADL materials as a valid source of information.
On this list you can find only a name of a band. You cannot find information why this band was put on this list. All bands from this list are treated as Nazi bands. People who use this list as a source of information write whatever they want to write to attack us.
People from leftist anti-fascists organizations are familiar with this list and check it often to look for new aims for attack. They openly admit using ADL materials as a source of information when they attack e.g. right wing politicians. Ok, enough about ADL. I just add that ADL sponsors organizations as ANTIFA and similar ones.
Rock Hard Mag. attacked not only Graveland but also other bands and labels and distributions, mostly from Russia, Ukraine and Germany. They accused us of spreading radical right wing ideologies. But they forget or underestimated some changes we witness in European people minds. Europe becomes more and more right wing. No one can deny it. It happens because of the collapse of the illusion of the existence of multicultural prosperity in Europe. It is also connected with Islamic and homosexual revolution. People see that non-White refugees from Africa bring chaos to Europe, cause the destruction of our native culture and tradition which were the fundament of our existence and development. Leftist point of view is limited to fight for the rights of lesbians and gays.
Communist idols of revolution slowly become commercial products. In Europe white women do not give birth to white children. Our race dies. Entire pop culture is aimed to destroy our culture and traditions which were the fundaments of bonds joining families into strong organisms creating the state. Decadency and liberalism put Europe into chaos. We are not responsible for this prime of radical right wing ideologies in underground. New people come…people awoken from the narcotic dream…they are full of anger…and they support and spread radical right-wing ideologies because they are tired of this chaos and they want to save this countries from destruction. Metal scene will be more and more right-wing because this is the main trend in Europe.
Some of my friends from Germany told me not to worry with this article and to treat it as a good advertisement. Probably I would do that but Steffen of No Colours rec. asked me to write a statement.
People who are really interested in Graveland and Lord Wind know the truth. They know the way I follow and they know my real convictions and beliefs. And they know that I have nothing to do with NSBM. Most of them do not read magazines as Rock Hard mag. so they will not read these lies. But what about the rest? Most of Rock Hard Mag. readers probably never listened to Graveland and did not have a chance to become familiar with my creativity and activity. Probably it will not change in the nearest future because mass media manipulates the society in name of their sick and distorted anti-cultural pseudo-values. They use techniques of social engineering abut which common people, common metal fans have no idea.
I am not going to betray my ideas. I will not do as other BM bands as e.g. Darkthrone or Emperor. I am not going to reject my roots and old inspirations in public in order to live a quiet life of metal star making big money. I will stay in underground and I will follow my way. Maybe one day we will observe a miracle and people will start to think.
