What you think of this year releases?

I think some of bands have made very good cds exam.

Diablo - Eternium
Empty Tremor - Alien Inside
Evergrey - Inner Circle
Fear Factory - Archetype (hmm..not so good in fact)
Time Requiem - The Inner Circle of Reality

and maybe unsuccesfulest attempt Vitalij Kuprij - Forward and Beyond (of course awesome players, but not a very good cd..)

Some good uns so far:
Pain of Salvation--12:5 (ruleth)
Spastic Ink--Ink Compatible
Iced Earth--Glorious Burden
Evergrey--Inner Circle
After Forever--Exordium

Anticipating:
Ayreon--Human Equation
Dream Theater--Live
After Forever--Invisible Circles
Pain of Salvation--BE
Megadeth--(title?) <---will rule

EDIT: Oh yeah, and Nightwish and COC have new albums coming out too.

Iced Earth - The Glorious Burden
Edguy - Hellfire Club & King of Fools EP
Kotipelto - Coldness

anticipating:
Borknagar - Epic
Nightwish - Once
Children of Bodom - Trashed, Lost, and Strungout EP
new Angra

and I've still yet to pick up the new Finntroll.

Iced Earth-The Glorious Burden
Rad CD. Awesome theme and Gettysburg is up there with any other long epic.

Kotipelto-Coldness
Don't like it as much as Waiting for the Dawn; a little too subdued. I still love Kotipelto <3.

Evergrey-The Inner Circle
I don't like this as much as I should. I dig a few songs quite a bit such as Ambassador, In the Wake of the Weary and A Touch of Blessing, but the samples are annoying and really detract from the songs; I mean it's cool to have a neat soundclip open a song, but it's so abrupt that it detracts in further listens. Just a bit too angsty for my tastes with a weak conclusion.

Ayreon-The Human Equation
yes, oh yes.

Pain of Salvation-12:5
Live and acoustic, two things I really don't listen to much, yet I love this album.

I remember posting this a few days ago....and now it has vanished.

So far i like

Spastic Ink-Ink Compatible
Incubus-A crow left of the Murder
Jorn-Out to Every Nation (what a singer!!!)
Killswitch Engaged-End of Heartache
Raunchy-Confusion Bay
PoS-12:5

and bring these fuckers on....

PoS-Be
Ayreon-T.H.E
a new Freak Kitchen and new Freak Guitar

Hmm...not much goin on in 2004 so far... After Forever - Invisible Circles was good, Pain of Salvation - 12:5 is nice too (though an hour of acoustics is pretty long). Still waiting for the big things though....

Nightwish - Once (It's gonna kill - so save yourself a penny for the ferryman ;) )
Pain of Salvation - Be
