Great Rock Albums

I've been listening to Audrey Horne and A Perfect Circle lots the past few days, asides APC's cover album which I don't really listen to I love all the releases by these bands. I had no idea till recently that AH had members from Gorgoroth/Enslaved luls.

Tantric - Tantric
Foo Fighters - The Colour & The Shape
Silversun Pickups - Carnavas (shoegaze-y)
Queens Of The Stone Age - Queens Of The Stone Age

The obvious choices would be Tool and A Perfect Circle, but I'm also a fan of old Weezer, Alice In Chains, Silversun Pickups, Cave In (Jupiter is awesome), and Death From Above 1979

I'm lame for posting again here, but the more I listen to Mars Volta and dissect each album (well, except for the most recent maybe) the more I realize how utterly stand-out that band is, as musicians, within rock, songwriting, everything. When I want to listen to something that is just 'rock' music somehow, not softer prog, not even proto-metal, it's something serious and ass-kicking like TMV.
