Greatest Rock Bands Of All Time?

No, how about you putting up some quotes and organization as to where I said anything that implied the Eagles was a "bad" band. If you cant make a case and presentation shut your mouth.

I have to wonder how many people would actually bother reading that drivel in your last post. Usually your quick one or two sentence blurts are unbearable enough, who would bother suffering through paragraphs.

The Beatles are not my thing either but then very little of the pre Hendrix and Zeppelin inspired era is, that still doesnt turn me into a RETARD about earlier 60's music or OTHER STYLES OF MUSIC OR PEOPLES TASTE IN MUSIC.

being a mostly progressive, elaborate and/or hard driven music fan for 4 decades I can still grasp the concept that sometimes less is more

A lot of those arguments were pretty damn bad (based entirely on your personal opinions and sometimes even on objectively false statements - i.e. that whole argument that "not everyone likes the Beatles" - because there's a single band on the planet that everyone likes??) tbh man, you would have probably convinced more people with another ambiguous argument about the interchangeability of discern.

I feel sorry for Beatles fans right now.

Oh... And Eagles fans. qq moar please. But yea, Eagles fans took it to the face last couple of pages. EAT THAT EAGLES FANS!

The Beatles were definitly an influence for some good musicians but that doesn't mean they were a "good band" necessarily. I do actually like Crack The Sky, thanks for mentioning them. You see, if The Beatles sounded more like that band, then they would of got my attention. Throw some epicness in there and you got yourself a remarkably good band. Or rather, don't make it all cheesy and poppy, make it adventurous and provocitive.

Oh my fucking god that facebook rant is some comedy gold.

There are quite an amount of reasons why The Beatles aren't the greatest rock band of all time. One of them being that not everyone likes The Beatles. This eliminates the very fact of being even one of the greatest rock bands of all time. I for one don't like The Beatles, so I am apart of that bunch. Now lets move on to further reasons that will click to your minds as well.

:lol::lol::lol:

I'm gonna go ahead and say that's just you based on my experience. See, I was actually opposed to the Beatles at one point because of the general attitude towards them, until I actually opened my mind and judged them musically (as you're suggesting) and found I actually liked them. A lot.
:kickass:

Thank you sir, I take that as a compliment.

Really? So comedy was what you were going for? It was supposed to be terribly worded and ill-informed? And all the trying-oh-so-very-hard-to-sound-intelligent-but-failing-dismally was on purpose?

Oh it was quite intelligent and yes I was also putting some kickers in there, mostly to be an ass. To say at a very ballsy assumption, its only funny because its true. Thats why its lame to the fans. :kickass:

But to be fairly honest with you, I don't believe in a "greatest band of all time". But it can only be clarified that the greatest band is perfect in all aspects, it only makes sense.

You're either the most deluded and oblivious weirdo I've ever come across on the internet, or you're a really persistent and creative troll who's having a lend of us all. I'd put my money on the former, but either way, wow.

So in other words there weren't enough interchangeable varieties of thought in his argument to formulate a change in your discern?

You do have to understand considerations, you realize.
