Greatest Swedish death metal yet...

I'm wondering how many of you are familiar with what may be Sweden's greatest death metal band yet, ANATA.

I'm sure Erik's probably heard 'em or at least of them. They are death, yet they thrash!!!!!

Their latest, "Under A Stone With No Inscription" is fucking-A-incredible!!

Luckily, I went and looked at the Wicked World/Earache website as I almost included it in my Top 25 of 2003 which would've been a bitch. It's not being released until January of 2004, so it looks like I'll have a forerunner for the Top spot next year already!

I'm a big fan of Anata. The new one is great. I wouldn't call them Sweden's best death metal band though, not with bands like Paganizer and Runemagick out there. But that's just me...

How many people from this forum have heard this album to date? I urge anyone who hasn't to look into it before the year comes to a close. Really great stuff and it has been one of the few albums to linger in my Top 5 basically the whole year.

I used to think the same, but I now place "Clandestine" a little bit under "Left Hand Path", mostly because the latter feels more "genuine", in a way that I can't really describe. It also has superior vocals.

The Greatest Swedish Death Metal Record Ever (C) award goes to either Insision's "Revealed And Worshipped" or Entombed's "Left Hand Path". Anata isn't all that.
