Green Carnation are an excellent band. A Blessing in Disguise and Light of Day, Day of Darkness are both fantastic albums. I'm disappointed with the new album though but the dvd rules.

Oh really?

I think they suck beyond what's comprehendible.

The vocals are probably the biggest turn off.

I haven't heard the new one yet. Is it poppy sounding? I could go either way woith it I guess. BTW, I actually do dig the hip-hop music. Listen to some Ruff Ryers or Ludacris it will pump you up. Plus the hoes like it. Death metal (the real stuff), and hip hop are the only vocal stlyes I've mastered. It's fun to growl along with Gallager of Dying Fetus, and rap along with DMX. Actual clean singing is a bitch. Musically I do prefer Opeth, Green Carnation, Dream theater etc.
