Greetings

I would just like to say that, regarding the Nevermore vs. Iced Earth hoopla, if anyone has heard "Alive in Athens" and still thinks that Van Williams is a better technical drummer than Brent Smedley obviously know nothing about drums. Also, Matt Barlow has a far greater range than Warrell Dane. If you listen, you will notice that Dane's higher registers are falsetto, whereas Barlow's are not; simply incredible vocal range.

Don't get me wrong, I like Nevermore better than Iced Earth. Nevermore is the best band I've yet heard, but I need to give credit where credit is due. (Yes, I know that Smedley is not in Iced Earth anymore)

I saw Iced Earth live with Richard Christy, and I'm going to have to say that Smedley is better. The one handed rolls on My Own Savior and Dante's Inferno were ommitted by Christy, and some of Smedley's hi-hat antics were left out as well. This isn't to say that Christy isn't fucking incredible.

Also, if I'm not mistaken, Smedley played on Something Wicked, didn't he?
