So, who does everyone expect for Glenn to announce for the remaining four slots? It looks like there are two top slots and two bottom slots left. I'm pretty much at a loss for who might be filling these spots? Perhaps:

Evergrey?
Zero Hour?
Vanden Plas?

Can't wait to see PC69. Probably going to be the "sleeper" of the weekend. I'll bet they kick EVERYONE'S ass.

I 'd sure like to see Freak Kitchen at Prog Power. God knows I've tried!

J-Dubya - See? I can reply normally to a post! :loco:

unless the number 1 band who is glenn's surprise cancels, there won't be any returning band which would cancel evergrey and vandenplas.

Ahhh... TattoedDean666 has some inside scoop ;-) That's cool. SO the #1 group is the one returning band he speaks of and that isn't Evergrey or Vanden Plas. However, I notice you didn't mention one of my personal favorites, Symphony X. Hmmm... No complaints with that!

Either way, I'm there. Already got my confirmation number, hotels arrangements and all. I trust Glenn and know that he will not disappoint me. Even if I haven't heard of the band, it is usally still a good choice!

Wow! I saw you mention that same thought on TEOF too. You think so, eh? I'll take your word for it. I know I was more than pleasantly surprised by Tad Morose and Brainstorm last year!

I know you would. I wish he would just because I know how bad you want that to happen. Who knows maybe I would even begin to like FK after that. For now, I'll stick with my PoS :worship:

Later!

I thought of a band that I think would be a great fit and kicks ass... Last Tribe from Sweden! And it would go along with the rest of the virtually unknown bands Glenn is gettining this year.

Of course I'd love Enchant to fill a slot, but I've heard that they are "heavy" enough :hotjump:

Cool! I think Witch Dance is absolutely amazing! Magnus is an amazing guitarist and the whole band has a great sound! Melodic, yet heavy and the music has enough meat to it to keep it interesting!

I think JayDub may even agree with us on this one :loco: Go Figure!

Saw them at PP, and then I saw them play at a little dive in Aurora, IL.
I'm ok with NOT seeing them, but I'd certainly trade thm for Therion...blech!

You know? I haven't really heard many people at all that are happy about Therion! I still haven't checked them out.

Enchant!!!

Thanks! Sadly, I had DLed a couple to check out and haven't made it to them yet. So much new stuff to check out on top of learning a bunch of new material!

Circle II Circle is getting ready to release a new album, so I'm wondering if we might see a repeat performance of C2C. THey were awesome for their first appearance so I'd have no complaints. Plus, I think Glenn has a soft spot for the Mountain King and since he is involved with C2C that adds more fuel to that hypothesis. BTW, the new C2C sounds good so far.

No I was confused. What I said is that there will be no returning act Unless he can't get the number 1 act. that means no sym x, no evergrey, no vandenplas or anyone that has already done progpower. If he doesn't get the big number one band, he has said that he has a returning act as one of the co headliners which I would assume would be evergrey, angra, or sym x as they are big enough to be in one of the big slots. We will all see come March 8

I guess that makes two of us! I was under the impression that there was one returning act this year and that's it. I wasn't aware that had changed -- so I jumped to the conclusion I did. I salivating at the possibilities that this big number one could be! I mean, he said big and not returning, so it has to be bigger than SyX, Evergrey, and Savatage (or derivatives). That makes me think of names like: Dream Theater (although they are probably too big), Helloween, or Fates Warning. What about that #2 slot? Could this "big" band be so big that they take both slots and only then does he get a co-headliner? Alas, we will have to wait until March 8 to find out!! Not that it makes a difference to whether I'm coming or not :Spin:
