I don't know if this has been asked before, but is it possible to make Impulse's of just a guitar amp no cab? I think it would be amazing if you could do this for instance, My amp is not at home it's in storage at the rehearsal room I use. I write and record demo's at home and would love to use my amp on them but it's just not practical. if I had impule of my amp it would be awesome.
The only other alternative is to make my own amps sim of it but I have no knowledge of that.

Amps are very dynamic and contain plenty of harmonics depending on how you play, IRs are static. So no, it wouldn't work to make an IR of the actual amp.

I think the Kemper modeling amplifier does something similar to that, although of course it's not using impulses (I think it captures the dynamics pretty well, too).

Then again it costs 1400 euros, so yeah.
