guitar DI

sorry I didnt get back to you sooner...ok I don't think we are on the same page here.
What I'm suggesting is to have the Mbox connected to your PC as usual(via USB) launch your recording program and record a dry track...ie no distortion or anything. Then take the track and bounce it to a mp3 or wave format. Next, connect the output of the speaker from your pc directly.(headphone jack out) into the Line 6 input...where you plug in the guitar. Then hit play on your pc and listen to the track with the new sound thru your Mbox.... hit record on the program again. It totally works...I've used this method before.

Oh...

...I was so stubborn making everything in the (M)box that it didn't occur to me doing a bouncing and using quicktime or whatever...

Thank you!

There's still some low hissing (mainly cause of the gain in the patch and the proximity to the monitor of the devices) but it seems a good way to reamping.

Now the problem will be to syncronize the guitar tracks back in ProTools with the drum track but some pre counting stroking the strings before the performance will do good.

Thanks again!

hey...glad it worked out for you. That was my only problem as well.... getting the tracks in synch but as far as reamping goes, that was the only way I could figure out how to do it...unless somebody else knows a better way.
