Guitar Mics ?

Apologies if this has already been discussed, but what guitar mics are recommended for fat rhythm sounds off a EVH 5150 4x12 plus 7 string ??

if you search the forum this has beendiscussed, along with placement and other things. but you really can't go wrong with an sm 57.

Maybe I'm the only freak around the world that doesn't like the sound of the 57 on guits... at least for heavy distorted ones
I usually use 3 mics... a 441, a AT 3525 and a AT atm25.... what out for phasing... and go mids on the 441, hi's on the 3525 and low/low mids on the atm25....

I use a Coles 4038 and a 421. Sometimes I use a AT4047 which is a Neumann FET47 knockoff

I'll admit I don't know much about different mics, but for a recording studio class I took at college, I used an ND-468 on my 5150 II amp, and I like it the best out of what I tried. The only other mics I tried were either an sm 57 or 58, but still, I really liked the sound.

Has anyone ever used an ND-468? What do you think of it for metal guitar?
