although shape is not as important as sound, i would like to know which guitar brand has pretty and strange body shape ?
one of my friend said BC rich... and i wanna know other brand...

BC RICH MY MAN!!! i love them. they play sweet and look cool in a cheesy way.
But the caparsion idea sounds good but they dont look too flashy. nice finishes though

Most guitarist types I talk to say BC Riches are really nastily made, and inferior quality to other brands.

They do look cool though, and a lot of metal bands seem to use them, but I wonder how much of the reason is because they are high quality instruments, and how much is the evil spiky shapes of them!

Call me old fashioned but I must the strat shape cannot be topped, they look the best, most comfortable in any position and have a ton of variety from which to choose.

It also helps that they don't look cheesy like most BC Rich guitars...

Parker Flys have such a cool design, with that little "handle" thing and what not, however their Fly basses are even cooler.

Ugh I don't like the look of that headstock, disgusting really. And that odd looking obtuse handle looks pretty nasty as well

But strats are hardly "metal" are they? Oh I know some metal players use them, but the poster seems to be looking for something more....angular.
Anyway, Strats do not look as cool as my RR3, or even a good old Les Paul or SG.

You're correct though - Parker's are fucking horrible. How the fuck are they "metal"? More like jazz. Absolutely fucking horrible.

a Hamer Scarab, about 300 bucks on musiciansfriend.com, or go to used guitar stores and ebay and pawn shops and you could find something wacked for cheap from the 80's
