This round will get 7 days because I am uploading two rounds at once.

When voting, please keep in mind this is about the guitar tone. Some have louder guitars than others. No extreme differences though. Some files were submitted with master bus changes. These were disqualified. Some files were submitted with a much louder backing track. These too were disqualified. All the uploaded files here have been checked, but it may be that we missed a mistake. If you hear that someone didn't follow the rules let Anssi and myself know.

Without further delay, here are the 7 contestants for round four.

All uploaded files are 320kbps mp3s. Note that this round starts with 4B due to previous disqualification.

4B by far. sounds great too me, has a nice character. very thick, but very vibey.

edit: actually 4F is great too. much different from 4B, but tbh i can't quite decide what i prefer. they both highlight different parts of the mix.

i'll go for 4B though.

Clearly 4F, nice and smooth.

at first I liked 4B, too, but there's something in the lows/low mids that's sounding weird/cardboardy.

4F FTW

overall there are 3-4 nice ones in these, and so far this batch has the highest amount of real amps I guess...should have been shuffled a bit more I guess....there are at least three in here that would have won the first roundeasily if they were in batch#5.

I liked 4G. Nice tone balance and a little bass presence that suits great.

4E seemed to have the best all round balance, even though the guitars are just a tad low on level. And it kinda sounds like the backing track is a little quieter than the rest too?

Really liked 4F but that phase/flange on the center guitar didn't really do it for me.

Mm, once again, this competition is about guitar tones, not about the mixes...
I wouldnt let that minor thing affect my vote...

It's about how the overall guitar tone fits in the mix. So yeah, I'd say it really does matter.
