This round will get 7 days because I am uploading two rounds at once.

When voting, please keep in mind this is about the guitar tone. Some have louder guitars than others. No extreme differences though. Some files were submitted with master bus changes. These were disqualified. Some files were submitted with a much louder backing track. These too were disqualified. All the uploaded files here have been checked, but it may be that we missed a mistake. If you hear that someone didn't follow the rules let Anssi and myself know.

Without further delay, here are the 7 contestants for round seven.

If you recognise your own work, please keep it to yourself. Usernames will be made public in the end. Please place your vote, and post in the thread with your reasoning!

All uploaded files are 320kbps mp3s. Note that this round starts with 7C due to previous disqualification.

7D has no center guitar.

EDIT:

Well, 7F has my vote. The other tones aren't bad, but this one has a solid L/R tone, solid center guitar tone(i seriously couldn't stand the center guitar tones of the other tracks), and the solo sounds... different.

To be honest, I think all the additional guitars are just so you can make up your mind between 2 good tones. I wouldn't choose a nasty tone just because the one with the good tone didn't do a perfect job with the secondary guitars.

7G is a great Death Magnetic sound achieved ;) Don't like these too much but 7F is better than the rest for me.

No offense to whoever these are, but they all sound like chit. Sorry :-/ I suppose the 'Least Horrible' IMO would be, well, I dunno. I don't like em so I won't vote.

they are are all great apart from 8A, the reason why it is bad is it has some crazy bottom end that makes my monitors wobble lol!!

i think 7F is the best one for me, but great work guys. Looking forward to seeing how the hell people achieved such metal legendary and a great song to whoever made the song :)

the power of the internet, these competitions are great - good work to all involved.

Wow are those zero-vote tones so bad that even the people behind them don't want to vote for them?

Shadow, lol, I think mine is one of those and its terrible in comparison to the good ones.

Both 7D and 7F move on to the next round, so congrats to them!

8A was Rex Rocker

Notes:
Guitar tracks are automated to different volume levels throughout the clip, but never edited. The center guitar in the stop-riff part of the song goes down in volume when the four other guitars come in. The harmony guitarsÕ volumes go down gradually as the harmony riff ends.
