Guitars with thin or "fast" necks?

I know...completely subjective, but I'm having a hard time finding a guitar that is comfortable. I have a C-1 Classic that doesn't feel right, and at first I was blaming it on the fact that I'm just restarting playing again after a few year break. Now that I've been practicing it still just doesn't feel like my old Ibanez or Jackson that I used to own.

I'm going to go to GC soon and play a few different guitars, but wanted to see if anyone has a recommendation on what to try first.

I don't have a lot of experience with Jackson guitars, to be honest, but my impression is that they aren't THAT thin, just flat.... well, at least compared to Ibanez Wizard necks.

Myself i find flat is more important than thin. Curves seem to decimate my hands and give me shooting pains when i play for more than about 4 hours

One of the best necks I've played is the Caparison Dellinger I sold to DanWeapon. Really long and chunky but really comfy and fast

I find the Esp Thin U profile extremely comfortable, I don't like the Ibanez Super Wizard, it's just too thin for me.

You're right... it is subjective. But I would highly recommend you at least play a few Ibanez S-series guitars. You may also want to try Via's Ibanez "jem" model or any of the Satriani models. Ibanez makes awesome "wizard" necks that are thin and made for shredding. I personally love the S-series because I love the thin bodies as well as the thin necks. They have a great tone, despite being thin.

For thin you cannot go wrong with an Ibanez S Prestige.

For fast... well, I guess that depends on your fingers

I love my Horus thick and C profile neck. I LOVE it because I rarely do solos.

If I did solos I'd love ESP's

Yep, imagine my surprise when i grabbed that baseball bat... At least it's really smooth (natural satin) and the bolt-on access is superb but...

ESP's and Ibanez have the nicest necks.
I can pretty much survive on anything that ISN'T a Les Paul though haha.

Try some of the PRS guitars too, some models from the SE series are excellent to play on.
