yes, finally someone else understands the beauty of carvin

Yeah, top quality and pretty as hell! I have not found any flaws on mine, near perfection. I think I will buy new pickups for it though, but I like the stock PU's, so no hurry :)

The neck is pretty much perfect for me and the body is super comfortable due to the contours, but well, I guess you know that allready ;)

I'm not too keen on the Carvin either... it somehow reminds me of all the 80's big hair-pink spandex-widdlywiddly guitar albums.

I've been drooling over a Cort Pagelli for quite a while, I think I'm gonna give it a shot when I have enough money. It has quite original design and it's not very expensive, plus it's gotten very good reviews.

I must admit, that I am not the biggest fan of the 80's hair-spandex scene either. And that is an understatement

I don't really think that the DC model is a very 80's inspired though, since it is very round and does not have the 80's ice hockey headstock and pointed horns.
It looks more classy IMO, but yeah, it really is one of those guitars that either you like or you don't :)

dudes the beauty of carvin custom shop is that you can have any shape/look/finish in the world. for six strings there are a million options, it's just that we both have 7's...

Yeah, I wish Carvin would offer more body shapes and headstocks for the 7-stringers, but I would have gone with these anyways, so I am a happy camper.

A 7-string PRS would be awesome, but the only one I have seen, was 10 big ones...

that might have been one of the prototypes? if they brought out a prs production 7 string, having played carvin, i'd still probably stick with the latter. that being said, i do still give my prs a bit of a strum every now and then. one day i want to get another carvin 7 string, so it would be nice if they had more body options, but the dc727 plays so nicely i'm not too fused on its shape.

I have a Schecter C-1 Artist and an Agile AL-3000 Les Paul. They're pretty comparable. I really want an Ibanez Iceman or a better Les Paul, not made by shitty Gibson of course.

I found a nice offer of this http://www.prsguitars.com/secustomsh/index.html

I'm willing to buy it, can anyone tell me how good it is? Also, what about the semi-hollow? How does it affect the sound? I'm not really an expert, so I'm counting on you :) be sure that I can play it though, I've just been playing electric for 6 months but i have been playing classical for 7 years, I'm just not really good at speedpicking (the fastest thing I can play i guess is December Flower solo by In Flames or the intro to Chaos by Ayreon)
