Lackluster acting, lackluster dialogue, and no real plot to speak of. I didn't find it "jolting" or disturbing in any way; people are fucked up, and for most life is pretty shitty - the film's lack of drive towards anything ruined it for me. And fuck, if you are going to do a movie like this, use decent fucking cinematography and people who can act.

In short: It's basically a piece of post-modernist bullshit.





But yes, the soundtrack is pretty decent.

I think your expectations for that movie are completely unreasonable. I don't really see how you can claim the acting was bad, and I don't really know what you were expecting out of the characters in that movie. And the cinematography is completely appropriate for a movie of that type.

Well, I claim the acting was bad because it was in fact...down right horrible. As I was told, it was a movie full of black metal, nihilistic motives, and a disturbing look at american subculture. What I got was a big fat pile placed directly in the center of my chest.

All I was expecting was a decent small budget film; not a fucking oscar winning performance - damn thing couldn't even deliver on that level.

Yeah, you can find the whole movie in parts on Youtube. The only reason I knew of the movie was because of my black metal friends at college who told me to watch it and it will "change my life"

I don't agree with you at all about the acting. I guess it would help if you could point out an example for me but it's really not that important. That guy will see the movie regardless and he can decide for himself.

The movie is great! The beginning with the 2 redneck kids and the other retard dressed like a rabbit, a guy prostituting his retarded sister, selling cats to the local Asians, what else could you ask for?

The sleep song sounds like it's influenced by black sabbath into the void without being a copy.

I do think it had some redeeming scenes...specifically the bacon on the wall
