havnt got it yet, heard the missions sucked, but that the multi player is awesome. what are your opinions?

I havent played multiplayer yet, and I dont have xbl, but I thought the missions were awesome. I love the story line of Halo, its so awesome IMO. Greatest games series ever.

The missions were at least on par with Halo 1 in terms of fun factor. The story was pretty straightforward but a solid way to end the trilogy.

I haven't even tried Forge yet but multiplayer is amazing for a console FPS. So many customizable options are available that, when coupled with Forge and the Saved Films feature, will provide near limitless enjoyment. 4 player co-op is a nice touch too.

Basically, its classic Halo taken to the next level. That means if you liked/loved it before you will adore H3, however if you have always despised the series, the latest sequel makes no attempts to bring you into the fold.

ive allways loved the multiplayer so it sounds pretty awesome, and the missions were fun when i did them, everyone at my school seemed to be pissed at the way it ended

Splitscreen on a projector at a friends house with one of his buddies playing with us online, on legendary.

Thats the way I played most of it.

Someone PM me the story for the game; I don't own a 360, I don't own halo, and I don't know anyone who does.

So someone please pm me and tell me what the hell happens.

good game...still didnt understand all the hype though

its cool on xbox live and the projector in my basement

I always found the Halo games to be overrated. Sure they're fun, but people like 'OMG! HALO IS SOO FUCKING AWESOME!' I dont see it.

Yeah they are overrated I think. However, they are still great games and considering that they basically re-invented and standardized the current setup for FPS on consoles their importance in history cannot be undervalued. Halo: CE is still the best in the series IMO, despite all its flaws (especially in terms of single player level design). With Halo 3 a close second. Halo 2 was good, especially in terms of broadening the depth of the narrative and its main characters but felt incomplete at the time, without the story wrapping up. Halo 3, naturally, alleviates much of H2's unsatisfactoriness from a single player perspective.

Not that I have played it but that won't stop me from having the opinion that Halo 3 is overrated as hell. I've watched all of the trailers and screenshots and everything and I really do not understand what the hype is all about. I like the Zero Punctuation review of it, however.

I've been playing it. Bit disappointed with campaign overall, very anticlimatic end to the series. Everything else has been fun, except all of the "shotty sniper" and "vip" bullshit matches.

anyways, if you'd like to be teabagged or help out in co-op, drop me a request: Nekrophetamine.
Going to be making d-day, halo-style, on forge this weekend, so yeah. Good times ahead.

Amusing review, but that's all it is.
