Hard drive fails in DAW

I've seem to have had alot of hard drives fail the last couple of years, I know the hard drives in DAW's get tons more use than your standard workstaion, but is ths normal? How long do hard drives last you guys on average? And what drives do you recommend?

I use mine for 3+ years with no problems... (daily use with a lot of tracks) i backup my hdds daily. Sometimes twice a day if i work a lot...

I used only WD Black Drives 7200 RPM haven't lost one yet. My DAW has been up 3 years. They come stock with a 5 year warranty.
