hey guys, so I'm mixing an EP for this band. 4 Tracks. They recorded everything at a music shops studio and sent me files to mix.

It's real drums, with samples on the kick and snare, the mic'd kit peices are still in the mix 80% samples I'd say. Though there is a decent level of natural overheads and room mics in the mix.

Nothing was done to a click, the band wants it "tight but not fake sounding". I'm just tidying things up a bit and keeping it raw. Other bands I have worked for was all programmed drums.

I have x50 on the guitars, but mentioned to the band they should spend some extra money and we can get this reamped by someone on this forum.

Anyway, I'd just like some thoughts on this. And what needs to happen to make it sound better. I've spent more time setting up sessions for the tracks and editing out unwanted noise, and sample replacing the kit moslty.

Cheers.
