I was planning on getting one, a friend did and said it broke a few days later. He's obviously returning it but I don't want to run into the same issue. 
Has anyone had issues with the RME Fireface 400?

Haven't had any issues with mine. Bought it last summer.

Oh yeah, just don't use Bus Power (aka Firewire power). You'll get a ridiculously loud electronic buzz to your speakers. With the included AC adapter, it works normally
